While working with some old newspapers I came across an obituary for a Tennie G Runner. I read the obit and thought it would be fun to try and find a family for her.
I did a search on Ancestry dot com and got a hint for several family trees for Tennie and I brought up the first tree on the list. It was a tree owned by Stephen Bolin.
I looked at the tree to make sure their Teenie matched the information that was on her obituary. The info. on the tree matched the obit., so my next step was to inform the owner of the tree.
Thus begins the “How To” presentation you will see in the following PDF file.
The presentation will walk you through my journey I took when I decided to play around with a family tree I found because of obit I just happen to see in an old newspaper.
I hope you will find it interesting and educational.
You can download this presentation or view it here; I would suggest you down load it so you can view it on a larger format and at your own pace.
